Days after their March 1986 wedding, Wayne and Ann began planting Christmas trees on 40 acres outside Boonville, MO.
One year later their first daughter, Amanda Starr, was born, and Starr Pines was named in her honor.
On Thanksgiving Day of 1990, three days after the birth of their second daughter Dixie Starr, Ann and Wayne opened Starr Pines to the public.
Over 30 years since the first trees were lovingly planted, Starr Pines is a 200-acre Christmas tree plantation where folks can choose and cut the perfect Christmas tree.
